Beginning in 2014, Destination Teach is a social benefit corporation, created with the intention of making a sustainable impact on education in Kenya and encouraging more people of color to see the world. Since then, we have widened our vision, and narrowed our scope. With the help of service-oriented travelers, Destination Teach will help under-resourced schools all over the world to strengthen instruction by supporting educators.
To inspire global citizenship through travel and service.
To improve education quality in underserved areas through teacher and school leader development.
Destination Teach works closely with the communities that we serve to create a platform for teachers to share best practices, and generate new ideas to strengthen instruction.
Instead of relying on donors, Destination Teach leverages revenue from our adventure packages to provide resources and services for schools.
DIVERSITY IN DEVELOPMENT:
American ethnic minorities are virtually non-existent within international volunteer programs. At Destination Teach, we believe that diversifying travel cohorts allows for pertinent cross-cultural dialogue, and presents a more realistic representation of America to global communities.
